Who Gives A Crap? #Holidays

The holidays are fun! We all feel relaxed and happy. Except for when we feel stressed out and irritable. Because, honestly, holidays can be stressful. (Just saying.)

Sometimes, around this time of year, you might want to say to hell with it all and go home to grab a bottle of Merlot and binge-watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer or whatever floats your boat.

And leading up to the holidays, after your eyes have gone buggy from shopping online or your nerves are frayed from standing in lines for six hours, you may be tempted to say to hell with it all and go home to grab a bottle of vodka and binge-watch whatever Netflix recommends.

When someone asks what you’re getting for your in-laws, parents, partner, or kids, you may just turn to them and say, “Who Gives A Crap!”

I do. And Who Gives A Crap toilet paper company does. And, now, you do. Because you’re going to gift toilet paper to all the people in your life.

It’s a wicked good idea. (No shit, right?)

Everyone uses the toilet. Everyone. On. Your. List. (Except your dog but he can totally learn.) So toilet paper is, like, the most thoughtful gift ever. It’s helpful and useful and won’t add clutter for minimalists or anyone trying to KonMari their crap.

They even have holiday gift wrapping. How cool is that?

Their mantras (of sorts). (With parentheticals from me.)

This toilet tissue is made from recycled paper or forest-friendly bamboo so you are helping the environment. It’s dye-free and soft so you are being nice to your bum. And 50% of the proceeds are given to charity so you are giving two gifts for the price of one.

From their site: 40% of the world’s population don’t have access to a toilet…More people in the world have mobile phones than toilets.

Who gives a crap? They do. (Seriously, read this page to see what they’re doing.)

  1. Thank you! I am all in. I was just about to inform my family that I will not be making the trek and taking part in Crapmas this year, pleading with my mother not to get any shit for me, I don’t need anything.
And neither does my family. We all have toilets, for example. This is a product they use so guess what everyone is getting? And my shopping is done! This is the perfect gift. Thank you.

    • You just made my day. Seriously. I’m so happy you’ve found the perfect gift for everyone in your family (*spoiler alert* it’s what my family and coworkers are getting this year) and what this company does is so important. Merry Crapmas! 🚽🎁 Thanks, D. 🙂

  2. You could be their spokesperson, Sarah. Better yet, their VP of marketing! My family who needs nothing is getting chocolate, but TP might be a good second. 🙂 Thanks for the informercial! Lol. Happy Holidays (from one grinch to another).

  3. Fabulous that you’re promoting this, Sarah, I’m sure all your recipients will be delighted with the presents. As I don’t do Christmas I won’t be buying these but I do feature World Toilet Day on my blog every 19th November and donate to toilet-supporting charities. Most people think it’s a joke initially – and it’s unfortunate that WTD coincides with some kind of day for men (I know, isn’t every day?) – but are interested to discover the serious side.

    • I remember you do that each year. I missed it last month but will check it out. I know. This post is sort of, kind of, in-a-weird-way funny (okay, not really, but light) so I didn’t want to add anything *too* depressing. This is on their site:

Around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That’s almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.

I could NOT stop thinking about this. I knew it was bad but this stat stuck in my head. Every. Two. Minutes. So, yeah, toilet paper for all. 🚽🎁

    • I know! It seems silly but it’s a fantastic gift. You should click on their “Impact” link above if you get a chance. As I mentioned to Anne (but didn’t put in the post itself), their site has a staggering number:

Around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That’s almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.

I knew this situation was bad but having these numbers really threw me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. (Agree with you on the commercialization. I’ve been giving to charity as gifts for many years. Well…also books.) Anyway, on that note, I do hope you have a lovely holiday.
